TOTALY BLOWN AWAY, MY LIFE NOW HAS MEANING!

I hardly know where to start. This was a life changing experience, I haven't been this eye opened since I saw the matrix (especialy the secondth one... all that stuff about cause and effect, it really makes you think).

I think I will have to review this point by point.

Graphics:

OH MY GOD! I think the sketchy style only serves to convey the utter sentiment of dustiness. You know like in "dust in the wind". This helps cryptify the facial expression, better rendering the mixed feelings of the character, his quest. all in all, a graphic master piece.

Style/Symbolism:

Christ! Every single images striked me like thunder, every picture hiding a powerful yet soft meaning. For example, the faded people with masks really shook me up, for that is how I feel when I see myself in the mirror each morning (it's true!) just a shadow of a man. Yet at the same time, I see my self in the scene about freedom (you know what I mean, the guy on the majestic bird), it's like this for many people I am sure. Like, we are all components of a machine, but we have the potential of freedom through the power of dreaming.

Another symbol that was powerful was the people (or dare I say the ghosts) travelling in the train, like the train was a bullet... a bullet of destruction. Because that's where we are going. This ties in nicely with the symbol of regression.

And the violinist, all there is to say here is that my soul vibrated like the strings she played... blindly. Like all good poetry, we remain blind to what we are doing until it's done.

Sound:

ALL WE ARE IS DUST IN THE WIND

nothing else to say...

Violence:

I put 10 because I was totaly devastated by the sheer force behind the message's power. Psychological violence and soulful violence are violence just the same, and positive also. Aloneinthedark, you can one day say you slayed a man, who was then reborn.

Interactivity:

I could almost feel the feathers between my thighs.

Humor:

Sometimes the best humor is not humoristic, I laughed on the inside, like i was realising so many things. A laugh of mixed feelings. Very touching in every way.

Overall:

boscoethehermit you just couldn't find how the penetrate this piece and reach it's creator, I did

AloneInTheDark responds:

Gosh, im glad that this really meant something to you. Nice interpretation of the train scene also. All i can say is thanks alot and take care!

I basicaly like everything industrial. Other bands I like include Einsturzende Neubauten, Merzbow, :wumpscut:, Funker Vogt, Throbbing Gristle, Download, OhGR, Ministry, etc.
